THE STORY
Every Collection Has a Story.
As a child, I hated bath time.
Maybe it was the cold. Maybe it was the water. Maybe it simply meant stopping whatever adventure I was having. But whenever bathing became an experience, everything changed. A bubble bath, a favorite scent, or simply the comfort of warm water could turn a chore into something I actually looked forward to.
Years later, after living in different countries and making my home in Massachusetts, I began noticing something remarkable.
No matter where I went, people cared for themselves using what nature gave them. Creamy goat milk in one place. Mineral-rich clays in another. Flowers, herbs, nourishing oils, and botanicals gathered close to home. Every culture found its own way to transform everyday bathing into something comforting, meaningful, and deeply connected to the natural world.
I've always been curious about cultures, craftsmanship, and the simple ways people have cared for themselves throughout history. The more I traveled and learned, the more I realized that every place has something beautiful to teach us about caring for ourselves.
That curiosity eventually became Zees Soap.
Today, every Zees Soap collection is thoughtfully created by hand in Massachusetts, inspired by the places, people, and ingredients that continue to fascinate me. Some collections begin with flowers growing in my own garden. Others are inspired by places I've visited, conversations I've had, or ingredients whose stories simply captured my imagination. Every collection is my own interpretation, bringing those discoveries into modern bathing.
My hope is simple.
That every Zees Soap creation leaves your skin feeling soft to the touch, surrounded by the natural aromas of carefully chosen botanicals and essential oils, and cared for by ingredients people have trusted for generations. And if, for just a few quiet moments, it invites you to slow down and enjoy the experience, then I've done exactly what I hoped to do.

Everything you need to know about our soaps and your order.
Real soap is made differently. We make every bar using the traditional cold process method, allowing naturally produced glycerin to remain in the finished soap. The result is a rich, creamy lather that cleanses gently while helping your skin feel soft, comfortable, and cared for.
Our soaps are handcrafted with thoughtfully selected ingredients and without harsh detergents, making them a gentle choice for many skin types. Across our collections, we use fresh goat milk, hand-rendered beef tallow, nourishing plant-based oils, botanical clays, and pure essential oils to create bars that cleanse without leaving your skin feeling stripped. Because every person's skin is unique, we recommend patch testing before first use, especially if you have known sensitivities.
Every Zees Soap bar is handmade using the traditional cold process method with thoughtfully chosen ingredients. Depending on the recipe, we use nourishing plant-based oils, butters, fresh goat milk, our own hand-rendered beef tallow, botanical clays, herbs, teas, and pure essential oils whenever possible.
Our collection includes goat milk soaps, traditional tallow soaps, and botanical soaps made without animal fats, allowing you to choose the collection that best suits your preferences. When a fragrance oil is used, it is always clearly identified on the product page.
Yes. Lye is an essential ingredient in making real soap. During the soapmaking process, the lye completely reacts with the oils in a process called saponification. By the time the soap has cured, no lye remains in the finished bar, only gentle soap and naturally produced glycerin.
With proper care, one bar typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks with daily use. To help it last even longer, allow it to dry between uses by storing it on a well-draining soap dish.
